Frequencies:  Australian ionospheric F2 critical frequencies

28 May 
Solar:        Very low
Geomagnetic:  Quiet to active. A weak (15nT) impulse was
	      observed in the IPS magnetometer data at 0258 UT.
Frequencies:  
   Cocos Island Region:
      Depressed by 20% during local day. Near predicted monthly
      values during local night.
   Niue Island Region:
      Depressed by 25% during local day. Near predicted monthly
      values during local night.
   Northern Australian Region:
      Depressed by 15% during local day. Near predicted monthly
      values during local night.
   Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
      Near predicted monthly values.
   Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base/Davis/Mawson):
      Near predicted monthly values over the UT day.

29 May 
Solar:        Very low
Geomagnetic:  Quiet to minor storm. A weak (31nT) impulse was
              observed in the IPS magnetometer data at 0759 UT.
Frequencies:  
   Cocos Island Region:
      Mostly near predicted monthly values.
   Niue Island Region:
      Depressed by 20% during local day. Enhanced by 20%
      during local night.
   Northern Australian Region:
      Near predicted monthly values during local day.
      Enhanced by 40% during local night.
   Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
      Near predicted monthly values.
   Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base/Davis/Mawson):
      Depressed by 30% over the UT day.

30 May 
Solar:        Very low
Geomagnetic:  Quiet to active 
Frequencies:  
   Cocos Island Region:
      Near predicted monthly values.
   Niue Island Region:
      Depressed by 15% during local day. Near predicted
      monthly values during local night.
   Northern Australian Region:
      Near predicted monthly values.
   Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
      Depressed by 15% during local day. Near predicted
      monthly values during local night. Depressed by 25%
      after local dawn.
   Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base/Davis/Mawson):
      Depressed by 35% over the UT day.

31 May 
Solar:        Very low
Geomagnetic:  Quiet to unsettled 
Frequencies:  
   Cocos Island Region:
      Near predicted monthly values with enhancements to 35%
      03-10 UT and depressions to 30% 12-16 UT.
   Niue Island Region:
      Near predicted monthly values to 20% depressed.
   Northern Australian Region:
      Near predicted monthly values to 30% depressed.
      Enhancments to 30% 05-09 UT at Darwin. Spread F
      observed 13-20 UT.
   Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
      Mostly 15-35% depressed. F region trace not observed
      on ionograms at times during the period 10-20 UT at
      Canberra, Hobart and Sydney due to depressed state of
      the F region. Spread F observed at Brisbane 10-18
      UT.
   Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base/Davis/Mawson):
      Mostly depressed 15-40%.

Geomagnetic:  Quiet to active 
Frequencies:  
   Cocos Island Region:
      Near predicted monthly values with depressions to 25%
      12-16 UT and enhancements to 30% 09-10 UT. Spread F
      16-21 UT.
   Niue Island Region:
      Depressed 15-30%.
   Northern Australian Region:
      Mostly 15-30% depressed with some night spread F.
   Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
      Mostly 15-30% depressed. Night spread F observed.
   Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base/Davis/Mawson):
      Mostly 30-40% depressed.

02 Jun 
Solar:        Very low
Geomagnetic:  Quiet to unsettled 
Frequencies:  
   Cocos Island Region:
      Near predicted monthly values with enhancements to 35%
      03-10 and 13 UT. Sporadic E observed 15-20 UT.
   Niue Island Region:
      Near predicted monthly values 00-01 and 08-18 UT,
      otherwise depressed to 30%.
   Northern Australian Region:
      Mostly 15-30% depressed with night spread F. No
      Townsville data 09-23 UT.
   Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
      Near predicted monthly values to 20% depressed. Night
      spread F observed at all stations.
   Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base/Davis/Mawson):
      Mostly 15-30% depressed.

03 Jun 
Solar:        Very low
Geomagnetic:  Quiet to unsettled with active levels 09-12 UT. 
Frequencies:  
   Cocos Island Region:
      Near predicted monthly values 00-01 UT. No data
      thereafter.
   Niue Island Region:
      Mostly depressed 15-30%. Night spread F observed 13-17
      UT.
   Northern Australian Region:
      Near predicted monthly values 00-01, 04-06, 18-22 UT
      with depressions to 30% at other times. Spread F
      observed 13-21 UT. No data for Townsville.
   Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
      Mostly near predicted monthly values to 15% depressed.
      Occasional depressions to 30%. Night spread F
      observed. No data for Christchurch.
   Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base/Davis/Mawson):
      Mostly 15-30% depressed.

 
2. FORECAST (04 JUNE - 10 JUNE)
Solar: Low

Geomagnetic: Quiet to unsettled conditions. Isolated active
levels possible 07 to 08 June.

Frequencies:  
MUFs near predicted monthly values to 20% depressed.
Depressions to 30% on 08 June.
