              at higher latitudes in the first half of the 24 
              hours.

      Near predicted monthly values with enhancements to 30%
      14-19 UT.
   Niue Island Region:
      Depressed by 15% with depressions to 40% 06-16 UT.
      Night spread F observed. Sporadic E observed 06-09
      UT.
   Northern Australian Region:
      Near predicted monthly values to 15% depressed during
      the day with depressions to 30% at night. Sporadic E
      observed at times between 08 and 23 UT.
   Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
      Mostly near predicted monthly values with depressions
      to 30% at times. Sporadic E observed mostly from
      00-02, 07-23 UT.
   Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base/Davis/Mawson):
      Near predicted monthly values to 25% depressed.

15 Dec 
Solar:        Very low
Geomagnetic:  Quiet. Isolated unsettled to active periods at 
              higher latitudes. 
Frequencies:  
   Cocos Island Region:
      Near predicted monthly values to 25% depressed.
   Niue Island Region:
      Near predicted with depressions to 40% at times 00-03,
      10-11, 17 and 20-23 UT.
   Northern Australian Region:
      Darwin: depressions to 40% 00-18 UT then near
      predicted monthly values. Sporadic E observed around
      10-16 UT and some early morning spread F. Townsville:
      depressions to 25% 00-06 UT then near predicted
      monthly values to enhanced.
   Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
      Norfolk Is: depressions to 30% 00-17 UT then near
      predicted. Some sporadic E 00-03, 15-23 UT. Brisbane:
      near predicted monthly values with depressions to 30%
      14-18 UT. Sporadic E observed 00-12 UT, much of the
      time blanketing. Canberra/Sydney: near predicted
      monthly values with depressions to 25% 05-07, 11-15
      UT. Sporadic E blanketing 00-04 UT and at Sydney 09-10
      UT. Hobart: Near predicted monthly values with
      depressions to 25% 01-07 and 12-17 UT. Sporadic E
      observed 00-19 UT. Christchurch: near predicted
      monthly values with depressions to 20% 04-13 UT.
      Blanketing sporadic E 01-02 UT.
   Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base/Davis/Mawson):
      Near predicted monthly values to 15% depressed.
      Sporadic E observed 09-16 UT at Macquarie Is.,
      blanketing at times, and at Casey 15-17 UT.

16 Dec 
Solar:        Low
Geomagnetic:  Quiet. Isolated unsettled to active periods at 
              higher latitudes. 
Frequencies:  
   Cocos Island Region:
      Near predicted monthly values. Depressions to 15% 01,
      02 and 16-17 UT.
   Niue Island Region:
      Near predicted monthly values withe depressions to 30%
      00-05 and 19-22 UT.
   Northern Australian Region:
      Near predicted monthly values. Depressions to 35% at
      Darwin 03-06, 08-11 and 16-20 UT. Depressions to 25%
      at Townsville 03-05, 17, 18 UT. Sporadic E observed
      11-12 and 16 UT at Darwin and 16-29 UT at Townsville.
   Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
      Near predicted monthly values. Depressions to 30% at
      Brisbane (00-02, 04-06, 11-14 and 18-22 UT), Norfolk Is. 
      (02-05, 09-15 UT) Hobart (21-23 UT) and Christchurch
      (01, 07, 09 and 18-22 UT). Sporadic E observed at
      various times but mostly 00-09 and 15-23 UT, sometimes
      blanketing.
   Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base/Davis/Mawson):
      Near predicted monthly values to 15% depressed.
      Depressions to 30% at Macquarie Is. 12-16 UT.

17 Dec 
Solar:        Very low
Geomagnetic:  Quiet. Isolated unsettled to active periods at 
              higher latitudes. 
Frequencies:  
   Cocos Island Region:
      Near predicted monthly values with depressions to 15%
      15-20 UT. Sporadic E observed 01-07 and 09 UT.
   Niue Island Region:
      Near predicted monthly values with depressions to 40%
      01-06, 13-18 and 21-23 UT. Sporadic E observed 01-07,
      09 UT.
   Northern Australian Region:
      Near predicted monthly values with depressions to 40%
      at Darwin (03-05, 08-20 UT) and Townsville (03-06 UT).
      Sporadic E observed at Darwin (09, 15-19 UT) and
      Townsville (10, 11, 20 UT).
   Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
      Near predicted monthly values. Depressions to 30% at
      Brisbane and Norfolk Is. 00-07, 23 UT and at Norfolk
      15-18 UT. Depressions to 25% at Canberra and Sydney
      01-08, 22-23 UT. Depressions to 15% at Christchurch
      and Hobart 00-08 UT. Sporadic E observed mostly 00-08
      and 23 UT.
   Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base/Davis/Mawson):
      Near predicted monthly values to 15% depressed.
      Depressions to 25% at Macquarie Is. 14-16 UT.

 
2. FORECAST (18 DECEMBER - 24 DECEMBER)
Solar: Very low to low

Geomagnetic: Quiet to unsettled. Active periods on 20 Dec. 

Frequencies: Near predicted monthly values with depressions
    to 30% at times. Depressions possible on 20 and 21 Dec.
    Sporadic E may degrade or disrupt communications.
