COMMENT: Coronal hole induced high speed wind stream
induced geomagnetic activity observed later in week.
Strong ionospheric depression observed 15 Oct in
association with geomagnetic activity, in southern
Aus/NZ region. Northern Aus region MUFs were variable,
with a 30% depression observed 03-06UT on this day.

2. FORECAST (17 OCTOBER - 23 OCTOBER)
Solar: Low, outside chance for isolated low level
M class activity.

Geomagnetic: Active 17-19 October (with a declining
trend). Unsettled to active 21-22 Oct.
Quiet to unsettled on other days.

Frequencies: depressed 15% briefly after local dawn on
17-19 Oct, then mostly near predicted montlhy values.

COMMENT: There is a chance for an increase in solar
activity this week.

PLEASE NOTE:
At this time of the solar cycle, space weather conditions
are frequently determined by short timescale events, not
able to be forecasted a week in advance.
