ISSUED AT 12/0200Z NOVEMBER 2008 BY IPS RADIO AND SPACE SERVICES
FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE
AUSTRALIAN REGION SUMMARY AND FORECAST
1. SUMMARY (05 NOVEMBER - 11 NOVEMBER)

MUFS:
   Equatorial PNG/Niue Region:
      Near predicted monthly values. Depressions of 15-50%
      observed at Vanimo 00-02, 09-11 and 14-17 UT and at
      Niue from 08 UT.
   Northern Australian Region:
      Near predicted monthly values. Depressions of 15-45%
      at Darwin, Cocos. Is, Townsville and Brisbane 10-21 UT
      and at Darwin 00-03 UT.
   Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
      Mostly near predicted monthly values. Depressions of
      15-45% observed at Canberra and Norfolk Is. 10-17 UT.
   Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base/Davis/Mawson):
      Near predicted monthly values to 30% enhanced.

06 Nov   -9      Normal            
MUFS:
   Equatorial PNG/Niue Region:
      Near predicted montly values at Vanimo with
      depressions to 30% 14-16 and 22-23 UT. At Niue,
      frequencies were near predicted until 12 UT, then
      15-40% depressed.
   Northern Australian Region:
      At Darwin and Townsville, frequencies were near
      predicted with depressions to 45% at times 11-22 UT.
      At Cocos Is, Brisbane and Norfolk Is., frequencies
      were depressed to 45% at times.
   Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
      Near predicted monthly values. Depressions to 45% at
      Learmonth 03 and 13-21 UT.
   Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base/Davis/Mawson):
      Near predicted monthly values to 30% enhanced.

   Equatorial PNG/Niue Region:
      Near predicted monthly values during local day,
      Depressed by 25% during local night.
   Northern Australian Region:
      Mostly near predicted monthly values,
   Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
      Near predicted monthly values during local day,
      Enhanced by 15% during local night.
   Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base/Davis/Mawson):
      Near predicted monthly values over the UT day.

      Mostly near predicted monthly values,

      enhancements to 50% 17-19 UT. Near predicted monthly
      values to 45% enhanced at Niue with depressions to 30%
      19-23 UT.
   Northern Australian Region:
      Near predicted monthly values with depressions to 45%
      mostly 10-21 UT.
   Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
      Near predicted monthly values with depressions to 30%
      mostly 09-21 UT.
   Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base/Davis/Mawson):
      Near predicted monthly values to 30% depressed.

10 Nov  -35      Fair-normal

   Equatorial PNG/Niue Region:
      Near predicted monthly values during local day,
      Depressed by 20% during local night.
   Northern Australian Region:

      Near predicted monthly values over the UT day.

11 Nov  -30      Fair-normal       
MUFS:
   Equatorial PNG/Niue Region:
      Near predicted monthly values during local day,
      Depressed by 15% during local night.
   Northern Australian Region:
      Depressed by 15% during local day,
      Depressed by 30% during local night.
   Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
      Near predicted monthly values during local day,
      Depressed by 20% during local night.
   Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base/Davis/Mawson):
      Near predicted monthly values over the UT day.

Predicted Monthly T index for November:   3
2. FORECAST (12 NOVEMBER - 18 NOVEMBER) 
MUFS: Depressed MUFs 10%-20% expected for this forecast 
period for low to mid latitudes. Mostly normal 
conditions expected for high latitudes.

Propagation conditions: Mostly normal. No SWFs expected.

COMMENT: IPS HF Communications Warning 11 was issued on 
10 November and is current for interval  11-12 November. 
3. OUTLOOK (19 NOVEMBER - 19 DECEMBER)
Degraded HF propagation conditions possible:
No signficant degraded periods expected.
