Antarctic Division and International Center for Space Weather
Science and Education, Japan.
ASWAS G0 conditions observed all week.
2. FORECAST (24 NOVEMBER - 24 DECEMBER)
Disturbed Periods:
24-25 Nov, 29-30 Nov, 04-Dec.
Best Quiet Periods:
2-3 Dec, 6-7 Dec, 9-19 Dec.
3. FORECAST FOR HIGH RESOLUTION AEROMAGNETIC SURVEYS
Northern Australian Regions:
Disturbed Periods: None
Best Quiet Periods: 24-Nov to 24-Dec
Central Australian Regions:
Mildly disturbed periods: 25-26 Nov and 30-Nov
Best Quiet Periods: 06-20 Dec.
Southern Australian Regions:
Disturbed Periods: 25-26 Nov and 30-Nov
Best Quiet Periods: 06-20 Dec.
Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3-indices are the daily sum of
20 minute pc3-indices for that station and have been shown to be well
correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic survey
flight-line data.
PLEASE NOTE:
Geomagnetic activity can frequently be determined by short timescale
solar events that cannot be forecast a week in advance, particularly
at solar maximum.
