Quiet to unsettled conditions observed this week with no significant 
geomagnetic activity.

2. FORECAST (16 DECEMBER - 15 JANUARY)
Disturbed Periods: 
No strong recurrent patterns, however mild activity may be experienced on:
 16-18 Dec,  28-29 Dec.

Best Quiet Periods: 
 19-26 Dec,  30 Dec to 11 Jan.

3. FORECAST FOR HIGH RESOLUTION AEROMAGNETIC SURVEYS
Northern Australian Regions: 
  Disturbed Periods: None

Central Australian Regions: 
  Disturbed periods: 28 Dec
  Best Quiet Periods: 21-25 Dec, 1-7 Jan, 16-20 Jan

Southern Australian Regions:
 Disturbed Periods: 16-17 Dec, 28 Dec
 Best Quiet Periods: 21-25 Dec,  31 Dec to 11 Jan.


Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations 
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3-indices are the daily sum of 
20 minute pc3-indices for that station and have been shown to be well 
correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic survey 
flight-line data.

PLEASE NOTE:
Geomagnetic activity can frequently be determined by short timescale 
solar events that cannot be forecast a week in advance, particularly
at solar maximum.
