3. FORECAST FOR HIGH RESOLUTION AEROMAGNETIC SURVEYS
Northern Australian Regions: 
 Disturbed Periods: None.
 Best Quiet Periods: 16-17 Feb,  23-25 Feb,  4-11 Mar.

Central Australian Regions: 
 Disturbed Periods: None.  
 Mildly disturbed periods: 14 Feb, 19-23 Feb,  28 Feb to 2 Mar.
 Best Quiet Periods: 17 Feb,  23-25 Feb,  4-11 Mar.

Southern Australian Regions:
 Disturbed Periods: 14 Feb,  19-23 Feb,  28 Feb to 2 Mar.
 Best Quiet Periods: 17 Feb,  23-25 Feb,  4-11 Mar.


Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations 
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3-indices are the daily sum of 
20 minute pc3-indices for that station and have been shown to be well 
correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic survey 
flight-line data.

PLEASE NOTE:
Geomagnetic activity can frequently be determined by short timescale 
solar events that cannot be forecast a week in advance, particularly
at solar maximum.
