Antarctic Division and International Center for Space Weather
Science and Education, Japan.

Active on 5 Dec. Quiet to unsettled on other days.

2. FORECAST (14 DECEMBER - 13 JANUARY)
Disturbed Periods:
18-20 Dec, 1-4 Jan, 7-9 Jan

Best Quiet Periods:
 14-17 Dec, 21-31 Dec, 5-6 Jan, 10-13 Jan

3. FORECAST FOR HIGH RESOLUTION AEROMAGNETIC SURVEYS
Northern Australian Regions:
Quiet on all days

Central Australian Regions:
Moderately Disturbed Period: 18-19 Dec, 01-03 Jan

Southern Australian Regions:
Disturbed Period: 18-19 Dec, 01-03 Jan

Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3-indices are the daily sum of
20 minute pc3-indices for that station and have been shown to be well
correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic survey
flight-line data.

PLEASE NOTE:
Geomagnetic activity can frequently be determined by short timescale
solar events that cannot be forecast a week in advance, particularly
at solar maximum.
