Mostly Quiet to unsettled conditions.
2. FORECAST (20 OCTOBER - 19 NOVEMBER)
Disturbed Periods:
Unsettled on 26 Oct and 5 Nov.
Best Quiet Periods:
20 Oct to 23 Oct, 30 Oct to 31 Oct, 2 Nov to 4 Nov, 6 Nov to 10 Nov,
12 Nov to 15 Nov.
3. FORECAST FOR HIGH RESOLUTION AEROMAGNETIC SURVEYS
Northern Australian Regions:
Disturbed Periods: None.
Best Quiet Periods: 20 Oct to 15 Nov.
Central Australian Regions:
Disturbed Periods: None.
Best Quiet Periods: 20 Oct to 22 Oct, 26 Oct to 15 Nov.

Best Quiet Periods: 20 Oct to 22 Oct, 29 Oct to 15 Nov.
Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3-indices are the daily sum of
20 minute pc3-indices for that station and have been shown to be well
correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic survey
flight-line data.
PLEASE NOTE:
Geomagnetic activity can frequently be determined by short timescale
solar events that cannot be forecast a week in advance, particularly
at solar maximum.
