magnetometer data at 0737UT on 05 Oct.
*estimated from real time data
NOTE: Indices may have been generated from data obtained in
cooperation with the following organisations: Geoscience Australia,
University of Newcastle Space Physics Group, Australian Government
Antarctic Division and Space Environment Research Center, Japan.
active on 27 and 28 Sep, quiet to minor storm on 29 Sep, quiet
to active on 02 Octobe, unsettled to minor strom on 05 October,
quiet to unsettled on other days.
2. FORECAST (06 OCTOBER - 05 NOVEMBER)
Disturbed Periods:
unsettled to minor storm on 6 Oct.
Best Quiet Periods:
7 to8 Oct, 11 Oct to 13 Oct, 15 Oct to 22 Oct, 30 to 31 Oct.
3. FORECAST FOR HIGH RESOLUTION AEROMAGNETIC SURVEYS
Northern Australian Regions: NA
Central Australian Regions:
Disturbed Periods: None.
Best Quiet Periods: 7 Oct to 8 Oct, 11 Oct to 13 Oct, 15 to 22 Oct, 30
to 31 October.
Southern Australian Regions:
Disturbed Periods: 6 Oct, 23 Oct to 25 Oct.
Best Quiet Periods: 7 to 8 Oct, 11 to 13 Oct, 15 to 22 Oct, 30 to 31 Oct.
Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3-indices are the daily sum of
20 minute pc3-indices for that station and have been shown to be well
correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic survey
flight-line data.
PLEASE NOTE:
Geomagnetic activity can frequently be determined by short timescale
solar events that cannot be forecast a week in advance, particularly
at solar maximum.
