FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE

1. SUMMARY (21 JUNE - 29 JUNE)
K indices are in UT (0-24). For conversion to local time:

NOTE: Indices may have been generated from data obtained in
cooperation with the following organisations: Geoscience Australia,
University of Newcastle Space Physics Group, Australian Government
Antarctic Division and Space Environment Research Center, Japan.

Quiet to Unsettled conditions observed over the last week.
Unsettled conditions with isolated Active periods expected
01Jul-02Jul due to coronal hole effects. Otherwise mostly
Quiet for the next 7 days.

2. FORECAST (30 JUNE - 30 JULY)
Disturbed Periods: Active on 20 Jul.

Best Quiet Periods: 30 Jun, 3 Jul, 5 Jul, 11 Jul to 13 Jul,
15 Jul to 17 Jul, 22 Jul to 26 Jul.

3. FORECAST FOR HIGH RESOLUTION AEROMAGNETIC SURVEYS
Northern Australian Regions: Quiet

Central Australian Regions: Mildly Disturbed 01Jul-02Jul.

Southern Australian Regions: Disturbed 01Jul-02Jul.

Best Quiet Periods: 4 Jul to 10 Jul, 15 Jul to 18 Jul, 22 Jul to 26 Jul.

Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3-indices are the daily sum of
20 minute pc3-indices for that station and have been shown to be well
correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic survey
flight-line data.

PLEASE NOTE:
Geomagnetic activity can frequently be determined by short timescale
solar events that cannot be forecast a week in advance, particularly
at solar maximum.
