FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE

1. SUMMARY (28 NOVEMBER - 06 DECEMBER)

Quiet to Unsettled conditions for most of the week with Active periods on
30 Nov and 6 Dec. Elevated geomgnetic activity is expected for the next
few days due to coronal hole effects. Chance of isolated Minor Storm
periods during this time.

Active 7 Dec to 8 Dec, Active on 21 Dec, Active on 2 Jan.

Best Quiet Periods: 
 10 Dec to 12 Dec,  14 Dec to 19 Dec,  24 Dec to 26 Dec,  28 Dec to 1 Jan.

3. FORECAST FOR HIGH RESOLUTION AEROMAGNETIC SURVEYS

Northern Australian Regions:
 Disturbed Periods: None.
 Best Quiet Periods: 7 Dec to 1 Jan.

Central Australian Regions:
 Disturbed Periods:  1 Jan.
 Best Quiet Periods: 9 Dec to 19 Dec,  24 Dec to 30 Dec.

Southern Australian Regions:
 Disturbed Periods:  1 Jan.
 Best Quiet Periods: 9 Dec to 19 Dec,  24 Dec to 30 Dec.

Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations 
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3-indices are the daily sum of 
20 minute pc3-indices for that station and have been shown to be well 
correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic survey 
flight-line data.
