3. FORECAST FOR HIGH RESOLUTION AEROMAGNETIC SURVEYS

Northern Australian Regions: 
 Disturbed Periods: 18 to 19 Aug.
 Best Quiet Periods: 17 Aug, 20 Aug to 24 Aug, 30 Aug to 16 Sep.

Central Australian Regions: 
 Disturbed Periods: 18 to 19 Aug.
 Best Quiet Periods: 17 Aug, 20 Aug to 24 Aug, 30 Aug to 16 Sep.

Southern Australian Regions:
 Disturbed Periods: 18 Aug to 19 Aug.
 Best Quiet Periods: 17 Aug, 20 Aug to 22 Aug,  30 Aug to 2 Sep,  
 6 Sep to 16 Sep.

Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations 
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3-indices are the daily sum of 
20 minute pc3-indices for that station and have been shown to be well 
correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic survey 
flight-line data.
