*estimated from real time data
The period started with geomagnetic activity mostly at
quiet levels for the first three days. Then the solar
wind stream was strengthened by a coronal hole activity.
This raised the geomagnetic activity upto minor storm
levels on 11 and 12 July, and upto a short period of
major storm level on 16 July. Due to the east-west spread
of this coronal hole, it is expected to continue to
strengthen the solar wind stream for a few more days.
2. FORECAST (17 JULY - 16 AUGUST)
Disturbed Periods: 17 July to 03 August, 07 August to 16 August.
Best Quiet Periods: 04 to 06 August.
PLEASE NOTE:
At this time of the solar cycle, space weather conditions
are frequently determined by short timescale events, not
able to be forecasted a week in advance.
