*estimated from real time data
Disturbed conditions observed this week due to coronal
hole high speed wind streams. The Earth has just entered
another coronal hole wind stream and active conditions
are expected 04-06 July.
The returning active solar region mentioned in last weeks
report has yet to produce any signifcant solar mass ejection
activity.
2. FORECAST (03 JULY - 02 AUGUST)
Disturbed Periods:
04-06 Jul: Active, chance of isolated minor storm periods.
11-16 Jul: Active periods
18-27 Jul: Active periods, minor storm periods possible 21 Jul
Best Quiet Periods:
Quiet conditions are difficult to pick due to elevated
background geomagnetic activity due to frequency of coronal
hole wind streams indicative of declining phase of solar cycle.
08-10 Jul
28-29 Jul
PLEASE NOTE:
At this time of the solar cycle, space weather conditions
are frequently determined by short timescale events, not
able to be forecasted a week in advance.
