At the beginning of the week the Earth was under the influence of
a high speed solar wind stream of coronal hole origin. Solar
wind speeds of around 800 km/s persisted until mid-week, before
gradually declining over a period of days. Active to storm
conditions were observed until late in the week, when conditions
returned to unsettled, tending to quiet by end of week.

2. FORECAST (18 DECEMBER - 17 JANUARY)
Disturbed Periods:
19-20 Dec, 04-11 Jan.

Best Quiet Periods:
29-31 Dec.

PLEASE NOTE:
At this time of the solar cycle, space weather conditions
are frequently determined by short timescale events, not
able to be forecasted a week in advance.
