SUBJ: IPS WEEKLY GEOPHYSICAL REPORT 
ISSUED ON 10 APRIL 2003, BY IPS RADIO AND SPACE SERVICES,
FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE

1. SUMMARY (01 APRIL - 09 APRIL)
K indices are in UT (0-24). For conversion to local time:
AEST = UT + 10 hours; ACST = UT + 9.5 hours; AWST = UT + 8 hours

Activity on 04-05 was due to coronal hole. Activity on 08-09 Apr 
was due to weak mass ejection and coronal hole effects.
There are now two large coronal holes on opposite sides of
the sun producing two extended periods of mild to moderate
activity.

2. FORECAST (10 APRIL - 10 MAY)
Disturbed Periods: 
10 to 14 Apr unsettled to active, chance minor storm periods  (coronal hole1 first arm)
16 to 19 Apr unsettled to active     (coronal hole 1 second arm of hole)
24 to 27 Apr unsettled to active.    (coronal hole 2)
01 to 02 May unsettled to active     (coronal hole 2)

Best Quiet Periods: 
20-22 Apr
03-06 May
