SUBJ: IPS WEEKLY GEOPHYSICAL REPORT 
ISSUED ON 29 NOVEMBER 2001, BY IPS RADIO AND SPACE SERVICES,
FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE

1. SUMMARY (20 NOVEMBER - 28 NOVEMBER)

A weak (35nT) impulse was observed in the IPS magnetomter data
at 0501UT, and a strong (102nT) impulse was observed at 0556UT.

A CME impacted the Earth at 0501UT on 24 November producing some
periods of intense geomagnetic activity and severe storm levels
for 24 November. The remainder of the period was mostly quiet to
unsettled.

2. FORECAST (29 NOVEMBER - 29 DECEMBER)
Disturbed Periods: 14-21 December.

Best Quiet Periods: 5-12 December.
