[ips-sf] SWS Summary Forecast for 01 February - issued 2326UT/31-Jan-2022

rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Tue Feb 1 10:26:35 EST 2022

Solar activity is expected to be low to moderate on UT day 1 February
with a slight chance of an isolated X-class flare. The solar wind
speed is still moderate, due to waning coronal hole effects.
Geomagnetic conditions are expected to be initially quiet to
unsettled, with possible geomagnetic storm activity late in the UT day
due to a recent coronal mass ejection. Mostly normal HF propagation
conditions are expected today with degraded conditions possible from
late in the UT day. Isolated shortwave fadeouts are possible on
daylight HF circuits.
