rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Mon May 24 09:42:44 EST 2021

Solar activity is expected to be low to moderate on UT day 24 May with
a chance of weak M-class flares. This is due to the flaring potential
of active region 2824, which has already produced three M-class flares
during the last 48 hours. The solar wind speed is expected to decrease
gradually to its nominal levels. Geomagnetic conditions are expected
to be mostly quiet to unsettled. Short wave fadeouts are possible;
higher frequencies will be less impacted.
