Solar activity was very low today, UT day 17 January. Very low levels
of solar activity are expected for the next three days, 18 to 20
January. Geomagnetic activity has been quiet across the Australian
regions and quiet to unsettled in the Antarctic regions today. Mostly
quiet global geomagnetic conditions may be expected for the next three
UT days with the possibility of some unsettled periods on 20 January.
Maximum usable frequencies (MUFs) were mostly near predicted monthly
values on UT day 17 January with some periods of minor to moderate
depressions and enhancements. Similar levels of ionospheric support is
expected for the next three UT days.
