[ips-sf] SWS Summary Forecast for 24 October - issued 2340UT/23-Oct-2019

rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Thu Oct 24 10:40:00 EST 2019

Very low solar activity is expected today, 24 October. Solar wind
speed is currently light but is expected to increase to strong levels
due to the influence of a high speed solar wind stream associated with
a coronal hole. Geomagnetic activity is expected to increase to active
levels with possible minor storm periods. Variable HF conditions are
expected starting later on 24 October ranging from enhancements to
moderately depressed MUFs for Southern AUS/NZ regions and poor
ionospheric support for Antarctic regions due to the increased
geomagnetic activity.
