[ips-sf] SWS Summary Forecast for 13 October - issued 2333UT/12-Oct-2019

rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Sun Oct 13 10:33:28 EST 2019

Very low solar activity is expected today, 13 October. Solar wind
speed is currently light. Geomagnetic activity is expected to be at
quiet levels, but may increase to unsettled levels, with a chance of
isolated active periods, if the high speed stream from a southern
hemisphere coronal hole becomes geoeffective. Maximum usable
frequencies (MUFs) are expected to be mostly near predicted monthly
values with the possibility of minor to moderate depressions. Degraded
HF propagation conditions are possible at high latitudes if
geomagnetic activity levels increase.
