[ips-sf] SWS Summary Forecast for 26 February - issued 2335UT/25-Feb-2019 [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Tue Feb 26 10:35:00 EST 2019

Very low solar activity is expected for today, UT day 26 February. The
solar wind is currently light but may become enhanced later in the UT
day in response to the arrival of the corotating interaction region
and high speed solar wind streams associated with a recurrent negative
polarity coronal hole. Geomagnetic conditions in the Australian region
may increase to Unsettled to Active levels if the solar wind becomes
enhanced. Some MUF depressions are expected as a consequence of the
continued very low levels of ionising radiation from the Sun.
