[ips-sf] SWS Summary Forecast for 19 February - issued 2332UT/18-Feb-2019 [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Tue Feb 19 10:32:31 EST 2019

Very low solar activity is expected for today, UT day 19 February. The
solar wind is currently light but is expected to become enhanced later
in the UT day in response to the arrival of coronal hole effects.
Geomagnetic conditions in the Australian region are currently quiet
but are expected to increase to unsettled to active levels if the
solar wind becomes enhanced. MUFs are expected to be mostly near
monthly predicted levels. However, mild to moderate depressions are
possible due to continued very low levels of ionising radiation from
the Sun.
