Sun Oct 7 10:25:19 EST 2018

Very low solar activity is expected for today, UT day 7 October. The
solar wind speed is expected to be near its nominal levels for most
parts of today. Then from late UT 7 October or thereabout, the solar
wind speed is expected to increase due to arrival of high speed
streams from a large recurrent positive polarity north polar connected
coronal hole. Geomagnetic activity in the Australian region is
expected to be initially at Quiet levels, and then may reach Active
and at times to Minor storm levels as the winds from the coronal hole
starts to affect the earth. High-frequency radio communication users
are advised to use near predicted monthly frequencies, today.
