Wed May 23 09:49:56 EST 2018

Very low level of solar activity is expected for today, 23 May, with a
chance of C-class flares. The solar wind speed is expected to reach
moderately elevated levels today in response to high speed stream
emanating from a geoeffective polar connected, positive polarity
coronal hole. As a result, the geomagnetic conditions are expected to
be mostly at between quiet and unsettled levels over the Australian
Region. High-frequency radio communication users are advised to use
mostly near predicted monthly frequencies, today. Overall, HF
ionospheric support is expected to be slightly weaker compared to
yesterday's conditions.
