[ips-sf] SWS Summary Forecast for 04 March - issued 2349UT/03-Mar-2018 [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Sun Mar 4 10:49:32 EST 2018

Very low levels of solar activity are expected for today, 4 March. The
solar wind speed is currently light and geomagnetic conditions are at
quiet levels. The solar wind may become moderately enhanced today due
the possible influence of a northern hemisphere coronal hole. If this
occurs, geomagnetic conditions may increase to unsettled levels with
the chance of active periods. Today, MUFs are expected to be mainly
near predicted monthly values across the Australian region, with the
chance of periods of minor depressions in some regions.
