[ips-sf] SWS Summary Forecast for 13 January - issued 2341UT/12-Jan-2018 [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Sat Jan 13 10:41:45 EST 2018

Very low solar activity is expected for today, 13 Jan. The solar wind
speed is currently light but may become enhanced during the day due to
the expected arrival of a high speed stream from a recurrent coronal
hole. The geomagnetic activity is expected to start the day at quiet
levels then increase to active levels once the high speed winds
arrive. High-frequency radio communication users are advised to use
slightly lower than the monthly predicted frequencies.
