[ips-sf] SWS Summary Forecast for 08 November - issued 2348UT/07-Nov-2017 [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Wed Nov 8 10:48:31 EST 2017

Very low levels of solar activity are expected for today, 8 November.
The solar wind speed is strong in response to the effects associated
with the recurrent coronal hole. The geomagnetic conditions are
expected to reach minor storm levels with a chance for major storm
levels. High-frequency radio communications conditions degraded to
fair levels due to the increased geomagnetic activity. Moderately
depressed MUFs are expected to occur, especially at high latitudes.
High-frequency radio communication users are advised to use near
monthly predicted frequencies or lower ones. Aurora sightings are
possible from the southern Australian regions.
