[ips-sf] SWS Summary Forecast for 13 March - issued 2338UT/12-Mar-2017 [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Mon Mar 13 10:38:24 EST 2017

Very low solar flare activity is expected on 13 March. The solar wind
speeds are at nominal levels and are currently around 350 km/s.
Geomagnetic conditions are expected to be at Quiet to Unsettled levels
for most of the day. High speed solar winds from a coronal hole may
reach the Earth later on the UT day 13 March which may cause the
geomagnetic conditions to reach active levels. High-frequency radio
communications in high-latitude regions may experience depressions in
maximum useable frequencies and periods with poor propagation
conditions due to unsettled geomagnetic conditions.
