Mon Jul 31 09:11:26 EST 2017

There is some chance of C-class flares today, 31 July, due to
returning active region 2655. The solar wind speeds are near nominal
levels of 320 km/s, however, are expected to increase from later
today, associated with a recurrent equatorial coronal hole reaching
geoeffective location on the solar disk. The geomagnetic conditions at
Earth today are expected to be mostly at unsettled levels and at times
reaching active levels due to the anticipated arrival of the
corotating interaction region associated with the coronal hole.
High-frequency radio communication users over the Australian region
are advised to use near monthly predicted frequencies.
