[ips-sf] SWS Summary Forecast for 02 July - issued 0108UT/02-Jul-2017 [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Sun Jul 2 11:08:02 EST 2017

Very Low solar flare activity expected. The source of the recent shock
in the solar wind (1628UT/01Jul) may be due to the arrival of a faster
than estimated component of 28Jun partial halo CME. Moderate to Strong
solar wind speeds are possible over the next 24 hours. Quiet to
Active/Minor Storm conditions are possible should Bz turn southward
for extended periods. High-frequency radio communications mostly
normal at low latitudes with possible degraded conditions at Low to
Mid latitudes. Aurora sightings possible from southernmost Australian
regions should both favourable viewing conditions and solar wind
parameters eventuate.
