[ips-sf] SWS Summary Forecast for 09 January - issued 2322UT/08-Jan-2017 [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Mon Jan 9 10:22:32 EST 2017

Very low solar flare activity is expected for today, 9 January. Strong
to very strong solar wind. Geomagnetic conditions are expected to be
mostly at quiet to unsettled levels with a chance to reach active
levels because the Earth is still under the influence of the very
strong solar wind. High-frequency radio communications are fair to
normal. High-frequency radio communications users are advised to use
lower than the monthly predicted frequencies because HF conditions are
degraded as a consequence of the recent geomagnetic activity.
