rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Wed Apr 5 09:42:25 EST 2017

Low to moderate solar flare activity is predicted for 5-Apr, with two
regions having M-class flare potential. The solar wind solar wind rose
to moderate levels during 4-Apr due to coronal hole effects, but is
now light. Geomagnetic conditions reached active to storm levels
briefly on 4-Apr, are now quiet, but could become active again on
5-Apr if the interplanetary magnetic field turns southward for an
extended period as it did yesterday. Short-wave radio fadeouts are
possible. High-frequency radio communications are now mostly normal
after some minor daytime depressions on 4-Apr.
