[ips-sf] SWS Summary Forecast for 14 October - issued 0004UT/14-Oct-2016 [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

Very Low to Low solar flare activity. Solar wind speed expected to
range from Moderate to Strong. Bz underwent a pronounced sustained
southward period of-18 nT from 13 Oct 0500UT. Geomagnetic activity
could reach minor storm levels and at times even reach major storm
levels associated with the persisting sustained southward Bz and solar
wind speeds from a coronal hole. Depressed maximum usable frequencies
for HF radio communications for Low to Mid latitudes, disturbed
ionospheric support at High latitudes. There is a chance that aurora
may be visible on the local nights of 14 Oct from Tasmania and some
parts of Victoria, Australia.
