Sat Aug 6 09:29:40 EST 2016

Very low solar activity with C-class flaring is expected today, 6
August. The solar wind speed had peaked to a very high level of 750
km/s in response to the persisting coronal hole effects over the last
24 hours (5 August). It caused mostly unsettled and at times active
geomagnetic conditions over the Australian region. Today, similar
solar wind and geomagnetic conditions are expected. High-frequency
radio communication conditions are expected to be slightly depressed
today, 6 August, over the Australasia region.
