Solar flare activity was very low during 29 Nov UT and it is expected
to be very low today, 30 Nov. Hydrogen alpha solar telescopes recorded
a filament eruption from Active Region 2459 preceding a B6.3 flare
peaking at 07:37 UT. SOHO coronographs recorded a halo Coronal Mass
Ejection (CME) expanding toward the south east starting during 07 UT.
This CME may have been associated with the filament eruption preceding
the B6.3 flare. This CME may glance the Earth during 02-03 Dec.
Coronal Hole 703 has rotated into a geoeffective location and faster
wind is expected to impact Earth during 01-02 Dec. The solar wind
speed increased during 29 Nov and it is currently about 450 km/s.
Geomagnetic conditions are expected to be unsettled to active today,
30 Nov. A minor geomagnetic storm is possible during 01-02 Dec.
Auroras may become visible low on the southern horizon from Tasmania.
Conditions for HF radio communication are expected to be mildly
depressed in the Australian region during 30 Nov.
