[ips-sf] IPS Summary Forecast for 09 November - issued 2327UT/08-Nov-2015

rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Mon Nov 9 10:27:42 EST 2015

The solar activity was at very low levels over the last 24 hrs. The
geomagnetic conditions were mostly quiet to unsettled, and these
conditions are the aftermaths of the 04 Nov CME. However, the
geomagnetic conditions are expected to reach occasionally to minor
storm levels within next 24-48 hrs due to the expected arrival of high
speed streams associated with the northern coronal hole. Aurora
sightings are possible during the local night of 9-10 Nov from
Southern Australian regions, such as Tasmania and Victoria. Conditions
for HF radio wave propagation are heavily degraded and is expected to
remain depressed over the next two days. See our HF warning reports
for more details.
