Low solar flare activity. Minor coronal mass ejection effects in
progress, following a moderate shock in the solar wind at around 15 UT
Dec 19. Moderate solar wind which is expected to persist Dec 20.
Geomagnetic conditions at active levels. High-frequency radio
communications mostly normal, although periods of disturbance may
occur at high latitudes. Aurora sightings may be possible from
Tasmania if geomagnetic disturbance persists into local night-time
hours.
