Solar flare activity was low on 7-Oct and is expected to remain low on
8-Oct, despite the large number of active regions. A CME observed late
on 7-Oct is unlikely to be geoeffective. The solar wind speed is
light, at around 350 km/s. Geomagnetic conditions were quiet during
7-Oct, and are expected to be quiet on 8-Oct. HF radio propagation
conditions were enhanced to strongly enhanced throughout the
Australian region during 7-Oct. They are expected to remain enhanced
today.
