Moderate to high solar flare activity as two sunspot regions maintain
their large size and complexity. These regions produced seven M-class
flares between them on 2 Feb. Minor coronal mass ejection effects
possible. Light to moderate solar wind. Geomagnetic conditions at
quiet to unsettled levels. The magnetic storm forecast for 2 Feb has
not occurred. There is still a chance it will eventuate in the first
half of 3 Feb. Short-wave radio fadeouts possible. High-frequency
radio communications normal to good.
