Mon Nov 25 10:32:29 EST 2013

The sunspot number has plunged from a local maximum on 17 Nov and in
continuum light, the solar disk is starting to look featureless again.
Solar flare activity was low during 24 Nov. There were 7 C-class X ray
flares in the range C1.0 to C4.7 from Active Region (AR) 1904 which is
located near the north west limb. Solar activity is expected to remain
eruptive with a chance of a M-class solar flare during 25-26 Nov. The
solar wind impacting the Earth is presently light and geomagnetic
conditions are expected to remain quiet during 25 Nov. A small coronal
hole is currently traversing the solar meridian. The solar rotation
board suggests a possible reoccurrence geomagnetic activity during
26-27 Nov. The ionospheric propagation support in the Australian
region was much weaker during 24 Nov than previous days, though still
enhanced. The propagation support was strongly enhanced early this
morning and strongly enhanced conditions are expected today.
