An erupting solar filament produced a coronal mass ejection (CME) at
around 12UT on the 12th of March. Most of the ejected plasma is
directed northward, but a glancing blow on the Earth from this event
is expected early on the 15th of March causing Unsettled to Active
geomagnetic conditions. Prior to the arrival of this CME, geomagnetic
conditions are expected to be quiet. Solar flare activity is at low
levels. Solar wind conditions are normal. High-frequency radio
communications normal to good.
