rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Tue Sep 4 09:41:58 EST 2012

Low to moderate solar flare activity. A shock was seen in the solar
wind at around 12UT indicating the arrival of a coronal mass ejection
(CME). This caused Active to Minor Storm level geomagnetic activity on
arrival followed by Unsettled to Active conditions. These conditions
are expected to continue for the next few days with further CME
impacts expected on September 5. High-frequency radio communication
conditions are currently normal however reduction in the maximum
useable frequency is expected over the next few days in response to
the geomagnetic activity.
