SUBJ: SWS PRELIMINARY HF RADIO COMMUNICATIONS WARNING 16/08
ISSUED AT 0333UT/13 FEBRUARY 2016
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.

The CME associated with C8.9 flare that occurred on 21:03 UT 
on February 11 near the solar centre between Regions 2496 and 
2497 will most probably arrive at Earth on late on early on February 
15. A minor to moderate geomagnetic storm may be expected on 
15 Feb . HF conditions are expected to degrade on Days 1 (16 
Feb) and 2 (17 Feb) in the mid and latitudes regions. This is 
due to expected negative storm effects triggered by the anticipated 
15 Feb geomagnetic storms.

DEGRADED HF PROPAGATION CONDITIONS EXPECTED
FROM 16-17 FEBRUARY 2016
IF COMMS DIFFICULTIES EXPERIENCED TRY A LOWER FREQUENCY BAND
A MORE DETAILED HF WARNING WILL FOLLOW IF DEPRESSIONS EVENTUATE.
