SUBJ: ASWFC GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 23/24
ISSUED AT 0800UT/06 MAY 2023
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE WEATHER FORECASTING CENTRE.

A CME observed at 4/1048UT in coronagraph imagery may have a 
geoeffective component with an expected impact at 06/0600UT +/- 
12 hours, although this event is difficult to differentiate from 
other CME activity around the same time. A second CME was observed 
from 05/0824UT that has been analysed as geoeffective and may 
impact from 07/1200UT. In addition to the CMEs, during the UT 
06-May, a small equatorial coronal hole wind stream and southern 
coronal hole wind stream are expected to increase solar wind 
speeds.
