SUBJ: SWS GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 22/31
ISSUED AT 0712UT/02 JULY 2022
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.

+++ CORRECTION OF GEOWARN 30 G LEVEL IN FORECAST +++

The interplanetary magnetic field has remained in a southward
orientation since 21UT on 01 July. This sustained orientation
is statistically associated with increased levels of geomagnetic
activity. The Australian region geomagnetic field is currently
at G0 levels, and it is now likely to reach ASWAS G1 level over
night. This activity may possibly due to a very weak a glancing
blow form an earlier CME, though no shock signature is evident
in the solar wind.

INCREASED GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY EXPECTED
FOR 02 JULY 2022
_____________________________________________________________

GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY FORECAST
02 Jul: Initially G0, with G1 level expected to be reached around local
midnight tonight.
