SUBJ: SWS GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 22/17
ISSUED AT 0224UT/03 APRIL 2022
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.

A long duration M3.9 from AR2976 that occurred at April 02/1340 
UT produced a fast moving CME (estimated speed of ~1600 km/s). 
Source region, AR2976 was located at ~N15W45 at the time of CME 
eruption. Model runs indicate that this CME may impact earth 
on early UT day 04 April. Geomagnetic conditions can reach G1 
levels, with a chance of G2 levels. Aurora may be visible on 
the local night of 04 April from Tasmania and parts of Southern 
Victoria.
