SUBJ: SWS GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 21/17
ISSUED AT 0005UT/12 MAY 2021
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.

Coronal hole effects plus the possible arrival of the 9 May CME 
from a DSF from late on UT day 12 May could increase the solar 
wind speed to moderately enhanced levels through UT days 13-14 
May. Geomagnetic activity is expected to be between unsettled 
and active levels with the chance of G1 minor storms and even 
a small chance of a G2 major storm. Auroras may be visible on 
the local night of 12 May from Tasmania and the coastline of 
Victoria.

INCREASED GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY EXPECTED
